For 17 years, Prof. Thomas W. Cairns coached the University of Tulsa's women's volleyball team -- without pay and while working full-time as a respected professor of mathematics. The women he coached in 1976 were part of the first generation of female college athletes, recruited at the very beginning of efforts toward gender equity in college sports. The story of Tom Cairns, a volunteer head coach at a Division I university from 1976-1992, shows how colleges resisted Title IX, how talented young women learned to define themselves as scholar-athletes, and how the relationship between coach and college athletes can shape and direct lives. It also shows what college sports can be like when it's about the game, not the money.

One day I'd love to see a large format color review of Santa Cruz art.. This playful tale of a pig who just can’t admit he’s afraid is adorably cute and gave my kids a few laughs. I consider this book to be powerful evidence for the reality of precognitive dreams. goes from ca. Sent to the dressing room, Paddington finds himself in an awkward situation and certain he's in trouble. The book is written in the laid-back discursive style that is one of the more charming attributes of Japanese math books. Perhaps the ghoulish looking monks are not "realistic" but their close-minded and blind commitment to the fundamentalism of their faith is something far too familiar in this day and age. Dunning, goes so far as to even climb "Luna," a redwood in which Julia "Butterfly" Hill has lived since December 10, 1997. Onl
