I don't know of another book that so accurately and beautifully gives a true sense of a real place in all of its complexity.

And what a place! A unique treasure that has somehow been substantially preserved while it continues to evolve according to contemporary usage. Yet he feels no compulsion to preach the One, True Faith. It seems to vacillate between overly flowerly language and frank language, with a fair amount of grammatical and story inconsistencies (as in- a terrible storm is about to rage, while on the next page the same day is described as an afternoon of sunshine). No question, the book is a manifesto of sorts, half earnest, half hilarious. This collection is a charming memento of the Disney Golden Age.. Ending is abrupt, but somewhat redeeming the book.
Wouldn't have bought, had I known.. I was looking for a book to play with a colleague for a school assembly, and this book was perfect. My son had to read it, so I had to buy it. the cup product that gives
