Also fun about the book are the many lists of things considered romantic. All in all a refreshing look at foundation design.
My advice is to take the book at the level and depth you want to. There are many different types of country style offered in this book and I believe there is something to appeal to those with widely differing styles of country decorating tastes. These projects transformed our student work in ways that I could not have imagined. I have many of Mary Emmerling's books. She does present her style well no matter what type of decorating she uses.. very happy with order, thank you. The photographs are crisp, clear and stunning. It has generated excellent discussions among our faculty.. The book goes through a series of abstract iterations in design control and exploration. I got through about half of it before capitulating to my boredom. It teaches each person to find what is romantic to them from their own life and heritage and to call upon that in finding y
