Jurgen Muller studied art history in Bochum, Paris, Pisa, and Amsterdam. He has worked as an art critic, a curator of numerous exhibitions, a visiting professor at various universities, and has published books and numerous articles on cinema and art history. Currently he holds the chair for art history at the University of Dresden, where he lives. Muller is the editor of TASCHEN's Movies decade series.

It was not about a race at all. I smoked for 15 yrs and have now quit for about 15. So if you’re not going to hire an advisor (one way or another!), then you’ll either know what this book is about or take away some homework. There's just too much detail for the material at hand, and in the meantime the story is lost.
However, this is great for those interested in Sears' history, or for those wishing to gain understanding about the changes taking place in retail business generally from the 1970's-1980's.. This is an utterly compelling sequence of penetrating insights and luminous images but has, nonetheless, the feeling of a deep and elusive narrative.
