I fonud the references to the great Bishops Connelly and Curtis of Connecticut tantalizing yet welcome. The book layers itself appropriately tying all of the projects together so students are able to critically think about their entire series of work and how it has developed.
I spoke to the author (who is very accessible) to gain some insight about a few of the projects we wanted to try in our studios. Perhaps angst is bound to be more engaging in the theory than the recounted experienceand perhaps the edition I tried, Alexander Dru's, suffered from poor selections. Biographies and autobiographies tell you the truth, how they felt, the details on what happened, their mistakes, and how they dealt with it all. Her life has made me think about my own. It teaches each person to find what is romantic to them from their own life and heritage and to call upon that in finding your own styl
