While the story of the fire is horrific it is realistic without gratuitous horror.
The 4 fact articles are quite good but in several cases lack any backup for assertions made.
Overall a decent anthology but not great. Based on creation along with lesson material there are also fun facts included that are very interesting. Still, I was tempted to rate the book 4 stars.
Sometimes, although you don't get what you want, you get what you need. Frannie and Tru is a story of the subtle (and not-so-subtle) moments that make up one important summer in the life of a quiet Baltimore girl. It is very well written, very easy to read and enjoyable. Considering when it was written, it is fine.. Criticisms on AMA may also not be entirely fair and while there will always be "eminence-based medicine" as Topol characterizes it, there is no doubt that some of it needs to be modulated better with patient-centric approaches.
